Personal Information
Dejan Georgiev currently works as a consultant neurologist in the Department of Neurology at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He also works at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana and at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences in Ljubljana. In addition, he works closely with the Department of Neurosurgery at Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in the field of functional neurosurgery and deep brain stimulation, where he is an Adjunct Lab Member in the group of Dr Saman Vinke. From 2013 to 2015 he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Sobell Department of Motor Neuroscience and Movement Disorders (now Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences) at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neuroscience, Qeen Square, London UK, where he trained in movement disorders and deep brain stimulation. He is a mentor and commentator for many undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dejan Georgiev is married to Katja Jarc and has two children.
